Acknowledgements

Hello!

I wanted my first post to be about saying thank you to the special people in my life that have so far made all of this possible. Consider it the acknowledgements section in a book that you get before you go on to read the story.

Thank you firstly to my lovely mum, who has a heart of gold and has always encouraged me to work hard. I am grateful that you encouraged me to have a creative childhood and that you introduced me to past times such as painting and drawing.

Thank you to my Dad, whilst growing up he ran his own business from home, he showed me that business doesn't always run smoothly and that you have to be willing to put in a lot of time and effort if you want something to pass the test of time.

Thank you to my amazing boyfriend, who always shows so much enthusiasm in my work and gives me so much encouragement each day. 

Lastly, thank you to John! John was my art teacher for my two years at college. He completely opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of art. I admire the compassion and dedication he has to each and every one of his students. He begins the first six weeks of the course by teaching the rules and then for the other year and a half he encourages us to break them! John showed me the beauty in such simple things. He reminded us each day that art isn't about having a big ego which you paint to show the world, but instead he reminded us that we all know very little and should use art in a way to explore rather than to show off. Most importantly he taught the importance of friendship and collaboration.

I say thank you to these special people because each day I am able to do something that makes me very happy and I am able to do it with the support of those around me, and that is something to be very thankful for!
